The Inspiration
The day after he was born, our son Nicholas was diagnosed with severe Hemophilia A, a bleeding disorder caused by a lack of clotting protein. Watching him crawl in discomfort with black and blue knees sparked the idea of a padded clothing line. Bruz Wear was started to help Nicholas but it quickly became apparent that these pants could help many other kids, both with and without hemophilia.
Having hemophilia has been life changing for our family. The worries, struggles, and on-going threat of bleeding, make for a lot of stress and uncertainty. Even though life can be very challenging at times, we feel very lucky for the advancements in treatment. Because of the bravery of so many people, our son is in a position to receive safer and more effective medication. For this we are forever grateful.
There are still many issues that the bleeding disorder community face. As a family we want to be a part of change. With every pair of pants sold we hope to educate and advocate for this amazing community. To date we donate product to various Hemophilia communities around the country and some day we hope to be in a position to contribute more financially as well.

In life we all must deal with what we are dealt, embrace our struggles with courage, and ultimately keep going forward. Thank you for wearing our pants, learning about our company, and supporting a cause close to our hearts.
